The food was incredible, and the staff was very nice and friendly. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The pool is nice and the location is of course super dreamy! The tour of the caves is also worthwhile but comes at an extra cost.
Set in a pristine beachfront location on the remote Yasawa Island, Yasawa Homestays provides a beautiful escape. Immerse yourself in Fijian culture with traditional dances, food and village life.

The locals were wonderfully friendly and attentive, they genuinely seemed happy to have us in their midst. The location on a fantastic white sand beach is quite stunning. We enjoyed swimming and snorkelling from the beach. We had a great walk up to the phone tower with fantastic views across the islands in all directions. We really enjoyed the Sawa-i-lau caves, which are a 20 minute boat ride away. Swimming into the second cave and exploring it was a remarkable experience. Note the caves are closed on Sundays, open 8 am - 12 noon Mon to Sat. Hospitality was great, we ate our meals in different houses around the village, often shared with other homestay guests. We joined in a kava ceremony one evening which was entertaining. Accommodation is basic as you would expect, a spartan but comfortable beach front bure, our own toilet and shower in a shack close by. Shower was a bit of a warm trickle but did the job at the end of the day. Food was basic but tasty, very carb heavy, you may want to practice politely declining seconds. We drank plenty of local water with no ill effects. We also visited a couple of the resorts in the Yasawas and a few days at a homestay made a great contrast and really enriched the whole trip. We travelled on the Yasawa Flyer which worked well, the connection to the homestay was easy. We booked individual transfers between the islands ourselves rather than using the multi day pass, which was a lot cheaper in our case. We bought 500g of kava root in Nadi before leaving for the islands as our sevusevu, it keeps for a few days no problem.
Facing the beachfront, Coralview Island Resort offers 3-star accommodation in Tavewa and features a garden, shared lounge and terrace.

The location is a slice of paradise, soo calm and serene. Everything is beautiful kept, with a personal touch.
We had a spacious bungalow with our own tropical garden and a little beach.
We would wake up every morning hearing the staff softly singing as they go to do they're work.
The water is crystal clear. Small but excellent snorkelling area.
At low tide you can walk to the corals and watch the colourful fishes, don't need to snorkel.
The tropical forest behind is enchanting with tropical flowers and a beautiful sent drifting out.
The People(the staff) were probably the best part, soo super friendly and accommodating.
They go out of their way to please every little wishes of you. They brought and cooked bread fruit for me from the village, just for me, because I said I wish I could taste it. Such a special place !!!!! soo much love !!!!!
Also, the bar is well stocked, the food is excellent a many choices.

Experiencing Ravita Cove was nothing short of magical. Nestled on an isolated island, it felt like being welcomed into a family rather than just a guest. With only two rooms, the intimate setting allowed for a truly personalized experience. Cookie and his team were the epitome of hospitality, ensuring every moment was filled with warmth and care. The food was exceptional, adding to the overall delight of the stay. From sunset hikes to lovo nights with kava, cave explorations, and snorkeling adventures, every activity felt like a cherished memory in the making. The team's genuine kindness and abundance of humor made the entire stay feel like a dream. Ravita Cove is not just a place to stay; it's an experience to treasure for a lifetime. It was in a beautiful location, I was in a dorm alone (mainly because there was not a door handle or lock on the bathroom door so it wouldn’t stay closed and I questioned this)
It was quiet, the food was good.

Nacula (pronounced na-th-ula) is an incredible place to stay. It's the last stop for accomodation on the Yasawa Flyer. It has a home reef you can snorkel at, with plentiful and diverse sea life, including an elusive turtle, and colourful and varied coral. Hiking is available and easy to get to, with trail heads and trail easy to find and follow. There are caves which you can visit and swim in a short boat ride away. The local village allows people to attend the church service at a low cost. It is a wonderful place to rest and rejuvenate.

One of the best weeks of my life.
One of the best weeks of my life. I'm a solo traveller and I'd go back tomorrow. The staff are just amazing and treat you like family, everyone on a first name basis. It is a smaller resort and we got to now each other as it's so chilled and everyone is just relaxed.

The hike over the hill gave perspective and was interesting.
The hike over the hill gave perspective and was interesting. The rooms were spacious and relaxing. The costs were hard to accomodate with only a certain amount of cash in my wallet and no way of topping up. Visiting the village and my kids developing a sense of perspective about how people around the world live was valuable.
