The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

The very friendly and congenial proprietor is an award-winning chef and is also highly knowledgeable about his wines and spirits. The dinner and breakfast menus were fantastic - lots of local and homemade fare, and gluten-free options for almost everything.
