A wonderful alternative to a hotel room in London. Being on the Thames means you not only experience the tides but see a big range of bird life around the boat and also in the beautiful park next door. The toilet and shower areas are small, but to be expected on a boat. Didn't bother us. Tomas and Jo are lovely hosts. The bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast was good especially with fresh croissants every morning from the local shop, plus a tea pot of good, strong English tea! Thank you, Tomas and Jo for helping with our Uber and phone issue when we left. Took a weight off our minds, for sure! We'll be back one day! 👍

El alojamiento ofrece vistas al lago y al jardín y está a 8 min a pie de Estación de Paddington.... La estancia ha sido una maravillosa experiencia. En mi familia estamos acostumbrados a viajar con caravana y eso ha facilitado que no se nos hiciera extraño el wc químico. Las camas eran muy cómodas y todo estaba cuidado al más mínimo detalle. La decoración hacía que todo fuera muy acogedor y práctico. Y sobre todo agradecimos muchísimo que nos hubieran dejado preparados pan, mantequilla, mermelada, leche, café y huevos, ya que llegamos muy tarde por la noche y por la mañana pudimos desayunar gracias a todo esto.

There are no words to describe how incredible Thistle Dream is, if you are in doubt whether to book, please do! The boat feels utterly luxurious and being on the water in such beautiful accommodation is simply magical. The boat suits sun and rain (we were lucky to experience a downpour during a beautiful sunny weekend) and I can imagine how very cosy it would be in the cold too with central heating and a heated mattress, along with snuggly blankets. We were truly gutted to leave and I'm already dreaming of returning and missing the ducks that live next door. The photos don't do it justice, all expectations exceeded.

We lovely sitting on the top for breakfast 😊 The bed is sooo comfy!

Highly recommended for a unique and peaceful London adventure. Immaculately maintained with vintage charm, the boat offered all of the comforts of home. It offered great value for money for the facilities and location (it was half what I would have paid for a hotel). The beds are double sized and comfortable. I'm 6'4" and I didn't have any problems with headroom on the boat. If you book a hotel, you can't call yourself a Captain can you?
