I've been to Cali twice and my experience has left me planning to explore other areas of Colombia. The people are friendly, food is fresh and tasty and the area is beautiful and CLEAN! I've never seen cleaner roads and public spaces anywhere.

Cali is so amazing and underrated... but I think that's a good thing. Make sure you go to Mulato Cabaret for the experience of a lifetime! The zoo is not bad either. There's tons of outdoor activities to do in mountains and rivers too.

We traveled to watch the Feria de Cali, and we felt very safe, it was absolutely incredible. Taxi drivers very friendly, people in Cali very nice and super helpful. We are coming back this year again. We loved it so much, the gastronomy is incredible, great food, and the cocktails to die for. Salsa bars incredible and everything was great. We watched the Grupo Nice live and free at one of the parks and it was MAGIC. LOVED IT CALI.

Great city with a tropical feel to it.
Great city with a tropical feel to it. I have been in many countries and I cannot compare it with Indonesia or The Phillipines although the first couple of days I was confused, but as soon as you start to walk on the streets you really feel this is a totally unique area with its own unique vibe. The air is fresh, streets in the main areas are clean and there is quiet some security and police outthere. I have been staying in Miraflores, El Penon and the centre city and Cuidad Jardin.

Cali is a very trendy, urban, real Columbian city that I really enjoyed. The pulse of the city is salsa. Which gives it a bit of a festive and cultural edge in my opinion over other major cities such Cartagena, Bogota, and Medellin. The food was also amazing in Cali I loved the cuisine their more than other Columbian cities I visited. The highlight of my trip was visiting Pance river a natural river in Cali it was very refreshing to go their. The city is a sprawl. Being the second largest city in Columbia it reminds me of American cities such as San Francisco, Atlanta, or Charlotte.

I intended to spend just one night here.
I intended to spend just one night here. I could have, on reflection , stayed longer but I was heading somewhere else. From the airport to the terminal bus station was easy by direct bus service. From bus station to hotel at 5 or 6 in the pm took forever. The taxi driver took a highly circuitous route which seemed interminable. He seemed to leave the city at one point and then went through all sundry of neighbourhoods before we actually arrived. I was not able to tell if this was simply to charge a pre~agreed high fare (22k)ñor if it was absolutely necessary , as he kept insisting. It turned out that there is a bus which takes you to the end of the street and which I took the following day to return to the bus station. In short, the hotel is far from the centre but there are good places to eat in a thriving high street. The pool was decent in size for a 20 min swim after a very adequate breakfast. Very comfortable rooms (i.e.beds).
The location is amazing and the facilities outside of the room were amazing. The breakfast bar was good, however hot food options for vegetarians were a bit limited in my view. Staff were super friendly and for anyone with security concerns this hotel is really really stringent on security protocols. Often there is police at the front, with security guards too and the concierge staff are very vigilent. I can imagine important people stay here often. The Gym is amazing, especially for anyone that loves calisthenics.
Was a little surprised, thought it would be a higher end hotel since this is the tallest building in Cali. Felt like a budget hotel, just everything felt like it was from the 70s. The rooms were clean but outdated, I wish I could give a great review but we are very disappointed with the customer service, maintenance and hotel conditions, however the staff at the restaurant were friendly and the food breakfast buffet was okay,.. the list can go on and on. so I will give this hotel a pass.
after over two months traveling around Colombia this is by far t he nicest place we have stayed! it’s modern and stylish yet cozy and inviting, the owners are super friendly and helpful with tons of advice and recommendations. The rooms are clean and comfortable and stylish. the common spaces are also super inviting, it’s a great place to relax in the middle of the city, it’s also close to all the attractions!
A perfect location for us because we wanted to go to the nearby mall on our last day in Colombia. The staff kept our bags as we arrived before check in and they offered us a map of Cali and later they gave us plates and spoons when we asked. The aircon and WiFi worked well. The breakfast was standard Colombian food (arepa, scrambled eggs, coffee and juice) but very well done and the cook was friendly.
The hotel was really well located, very clean, the staff were very friendly - especially Juan from Medellin!
I really felt at home, and the hotel was beyond my expectations.
They also offer an amazing buffer in the morning - the kitchen serves the restaurant in the same space throughout the day.
I sincerely recommend staying here, if you have interests in coming to Cali.

One of the best guest experiences we've had in any hotel around the world. This is a truly boutique hotel where they treat you with a very personal touch and the attention to details is totally amazing. If you are lucky enough to get a room at Leclerc hotel while you are in Cali you won't regret it. Location is excellent, breakfast is tasty and rooms are quiet.
I loved everything about this hotel except for some of the staff.
The hotel is in a good location in an interesting neighbourhood. The restaurant served delicious food. It’s the only hotel that I’ve been to in Colombia so far that offers free water so guests can refill their water bottles. This was excellent. I hate using plastic bottles. Loved the decor.
We enjoyed our stay.
- The staff are very kind and helpful.
- The hotel is located at the heart of Cali's prettier (and safer) neighbourhood.
- There is a rooftop terrace from which you can enjoy nice views of the city, especially at night.
- We really liked the decor of the hotel and of the room.
Carlos is the most helpful of hosts. A great place, a very comfortable apartment, with everything one needs for short as well as long term stays.
It is noteworthy that the apartment is about a 20 minute taxi ride from Cali's touristic spots, but it is really not a problem.
Sweet family hotel, with a fair price. Breakfast is good, rooms are big and tidy and Francisco and his wife are really friendly hosts. The location is perfect. Really safe and close to everything! Will definetly come back when I return to cali :)
Super location. Lovely staff.
The atmosphere when all the local families come out in the evening is brilliant. Real taste of Colombia culture.
Some great local restaurants & bars.
Location, room, breakfast, staff, the best ones! I love this hotel, amazing location and the room is so big! If Im back in Cali, I will choose El Peñón Hotel.
