An absolute jungle gem. The whole area is beautifully arranged and maintained; it's wonderful to be surrounded by trees and woken up by birds. The pool is small but very nice. The staff are there if you need them, but otherwise you can fully enjoy your privacy. Jose was all smiles, such a friendly guy. The villa itself was super clean, spacious and convenient, and the daily cleaning service was very thorough. I was prepared for insects in the room, power/water problems etc but there were no such issues at all. People complaining in the reviews about dampness/smell or gravel garden paths should really get a grip. Oh, and don't miss the Chan Paal tortilleria just across the road. They have exquisite food and super cool staff.

Villa Marilu B&B in Bacalar provides adults-only accommodation with a private beach area and a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. Excellent place, the view is very nice,, very good location, the staff is awesome, all of them are so kind, they make us feel comfortable all the time, definitely I recommend this place and for sure will be back.

We enjoyed the eating oppurtunities just down the street.

It’s wonderful and bigger than we thought it would be! Spacious, modern and tasteful decoration. Had easy to follow procedures to enter, stayed 5 nights, didn’t have any trouble at all, loved staying here and super recomend!
