Well equipped big kitchen, lots of communal areas where you can hang out and socialize, but also enough more cosy private spaces with hammocks. Dorm was spacious, clean, comfy bed and had curtains on the beds. Only 1 minute away from the ocean and one of the best hostels I have stayed in so far in Peru!!

Strenua - Las Quintanas ligt in een winkel- en woongebied in de buurt van het historische centrum van Trujillo. This property is really nice, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Everything is clean, the rooms are spacious, at least the one we had. It included a bathroom, bedroom, a living room area, refrigerator, microwave. Our room here was bigger than some of the Airbnb properties we have been to. We thought it was nice that they bring your breakfast to you, since the rooms have a table area where you can eat. The shared kitchen has everything we needed. Hot water always available. The area that the hotel is in feels safe and is pretty close to everything, maybe 5 minutes' walk from the central plaza, very close to multiple grocery stores, lots of restaurants, etc. The place is located in a quiet street. The airport transfer service is reliable. Definitely one of the nicest places we've stayed in, if not the nicest.

My Friend Surf Hostal ligt op 30 meter van het strand El Helio, op 200 m van de hoofdstraat Los Pinos en de commerciële wijk. Randy and all the stuff were really nice and helpful!! We did three surf lessons and you can also rent a surf board. The breakfast is very good and the restaurant is cheap and tasty! They clean every day. Hot shower.

You can hear the sound of the ocean to fall asleep.

Despite its location on the main business street, it is surprisingly quiet at night. The building itself is also a beautiful historic building from the republican era. The hotel owner is so nice, giving me all local insider’s tips about the city. He also helped me booking a tour around the archeological sites nearby for no commission fees.

Urcia Surf House bevindt zich in Huanchaco, op 5 minuten lopen van Playa Huancarute en 1,1 km van Playa El Mogote, en heeft een barbecue en gratis WiFi. This is a really nice small hostel. The kitchen is well equipped the bathrooms are clean and the rooms as well and the wifi is working well as well. Since they also run a surf school and many things are run by volunteers (greetings to Margaux, you did great job) you will most probably meet many enthusiastic surfers, which is great! Really recommended stay in Huanchaco.
