I can’t recommend it enough. The setting is beyond spectacular, well worth the extra drive from Funchal. The village is quaint and friendly, with a food market just up the street and beautiful trails nearby. The apartment is large, yet still cozy, and well maintained. And the hosts are wonderful. I can’t say enough about this apartment. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I’m hoping to be back as soon as possible.

Self checkin and checkout was very handy because we came very late and leaved very early. Location was amazing. There was a terrace with view of city or see. We had 2 botles of local vine waiting for us in the kitchen. what was nice supprice. Included was also coffe, still wather and some fruits.

What is there not to like! Excellent location, very spacious family room. Free parking provided. Swimming pool and facilities are fantastic. Breakfast - huge variety. Super friendly and helpful staff. I’ll be staying here again on my next visit to Madeira.

Set in tropical gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Suite Hotel Eden Mar - Porto Bay features a lagoon-style outdoor pool. Property is exactly as advertised. Well maintained pools and grounds, spacious clean rooms with good air conditioning and balconies. Very friendly staff at good in-hotel restaurants. Recommend Il Basilico for really good Italian food but make sure to reserve as it books up quickly. Also great personal touch from the staff to provide complimentary champagne for a birthday we didn’t inform them about (they got from our passport at check in).

Contemporary, clean, and updated. The studio hotel is associated with the larger main, but older hotel so we paid a bit more to stay in a more modern space but benefited from all the amenities in the larger hotel including the pool and the expansive breakfast. Loved our stay very much and felt very comfortable moving about on the property. It’s also across the street from a gas station which doesn’t seem appealing but it was great being able to run over and stock up on drinks and snacks for the room and convenient to fill up on gas for the rental car. Plus, we had a room with a terrace looking over the pool on the backside of the hotel.
