We enjoyed Isabel Island the most of the three Islands we stayed at. Fantastic wildlife. The sunrises and sunsets, long beach walks, Los Tunnels Tour, bike rental, trails, tortoise natural reserve, plenty of shops for fresh fish and produce, plenty of restaurants with delicious food, panaderias with baked goods and early morning coffee. Awesome locals that were very friendly and helpful. Exceeded all our expectations.

We enjoyed traveling beyond Santa Cruz Island for a few nights, just to experience the "vibe" of a different island. The town of Puerto Villamil is relaxed, very friendly and a charming beach town. Most of the area is walkable, though taxis were very cheap (less than $5).

Isabela is a backpacker's destination with very poor...
Isabela is a backpacker's destination with very poor infrastructure and low level restaurants. And it's extremely expensive for a European, especially if you come from a non Euro-country given the appreciation of the USD. We struggled to find a decent restaurant and it turned out that the Mexican was the best (full every night). To give you an example of cost, a main course was between USD19-30 which in eg Spain would have been aprox USD8. Price/quality ratio is among the worst we've experienced.
Ecuador, especially the islands, is a cash only-no receipt-economy with the purpose of squeezing the last dollar out of the tourists. We left with few intentions of returning which is a shame given the amazing animals and nature. People are mostly very friendly and helpful which was a nice.

The laid-back beach town vibes here are so much different...
The laid-back beach town vibes here are so much different than Puerto Ayora and Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on the other islands. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and I wish we'd planned this stop toward the end of the trip instead of right at the beginning. Make sure you do a trip to Los Tuneles while you're there - the scenery is fantastic and it was the best snorkeling we had on our week in the islands.

Puerto Villamil is small but welcoming and very beautiful...
Puerto Villamil is small but welcoming and very beautiful with great opportunities for snorkeling, walking, biking, swimming, kayaking etc. Most restaurants seem to serve "pizza" for tourists, but it's possible to avoid that for more traditional and delicious fare. The local beer is good, the people are friendly and it's well worth the effort to visit. The wildlife is spread around the island, but you can experience an incredible variety in the near vicinity - flamingos, penguins, sea lions, manta rays, sea horses, turtles, tortoises, iguanas, lava lizards, blue-footed/nazca boobies and other incredible sea birds, sharks and colourful fishes, I can't wait to go back :)

Nice place, really relaxing.
Nice place, really relaxing. Not too many good options to go out for dinner and the nice restaurants are quite expensive. But this is the rule in Galapagos.
If you don't have much money, I would not recommend to stay many nights here, because the day trips are hugely expensive and there is not many free options otherwise staying in the central beach.

Located at the edge of main commercial area so easy walk to shops, food, laundry, tours
Breakfast of fruit, granola, toast, scrambled eggs, the freshly squeezed orange was delicious!
Room was basic, no wardrobe or tv. We had to leave our suitcases on the floor which was inconvenient.
Hotel provided beach towels, useful.
Hotel only had a few guests so was nice and quiet but layout would allow noise transfers from common areas if busy.
Price was high for standard of room. Glimpse of beach from some rooms
My room was very small but perfect for 1 person. The room was very clean. walk across the street you are at a beautiful beach. Street is lined with restaurants and tour agencies. Coral Blanco has a beautiful sitting area. Plenty of filtered water. It isn't a fancy hotel but it's a great place for a few nights. I don't recall the tour guides name who was selling tours at Coral Blanco but he had worked at a as a tour guide in Quito. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Good staff
Wonderful place to stay in Isabela. Estalin made our stay even better. Helped us out with tour bookings and everything went perfect. He also upgraded our room to a sea view. Nice balcony, right on the beach :) Thank you again Estalin. We were very happy with this treat :) Breakfast is DELICIOUS. All personnel very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel 100%.
We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough - the rooms are beautiful and very clean, location is perfect on the beach and a couple of minutes walk from the centre, breakfast is amazing and best of all, the staff go out of their way to make sure you have the best time (thank you Wendy!).
Big clean rooms in Isla Isabela. close to the playa Concha de perla. Hosts are amazing, if you want to feel Galapagos vibes definitely stay at this place. Great facilities, outdoor hammocks, coconuts from the hose, his music, stories about Galapagos priceless.
The location right on the beach and close to town was ideal. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant offered excellent food at good value. When we ran into a medical problem the manager and staff helped us out enormously.
We had an enormous room looking right out over the beach. The hotel is built a bit like a tree house, so most of the rooms require climbing stairs. I found it pretty cool, but it would be difficult if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage.
I enjoyed my stay here. Room with ocean view. Quiet, just the sound of the waves. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. Shower with hot water. They have a water bottle refill station. Hotel is right in front of the beach. I would come back.
the hotel’s staff was extremely helpful and they managed to provide us with such a cozy atmosphere, that we hadn’t had other option, but to fell in love with the place. It’s just spotless, the very place you expect being on island!
Great location. Great breakfast on top floor (included in hotel fee). Clean room. Helpful front desk staff. Water and coffee available in lobby at no extra charge. Other drinks available in lobby at extra cost. Room has a safe.
We got transferred to hotel volcano a sister property as we were told our room was damaged from the previous clients.
We had a nice sea view. Breakfast was amazing. Staff were contactable via whatsapp and helpful.
Our apartment was new and very comfortable, with a nice kitchen in addition to the bedrooms. Casa Soleil is on a dirt road, one half block away from the paved roads of the small town of Puerto Villamil.
This hotel is a great value and within pleasant walking distance to restaurants and more. The staff arranged a great tour for us, and was helpful with local information.
Great to have a centrally located, family run hotel, with a breakfast. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I could walk to downtown, it is all very close.
