We had a very relaxing stay- we had planned for one night, but extended it to two nights as we enjoyed the property so much
The rooms/cabins are very large/ Nice bathrooms and beds with patios
We ate all of our meals there and enjoyed all of them (I am vegetarian and liked all of my options/ my husband who is not vegetarian also equally enjoyed the meals)
They have a few activities each day, we enjoyed a short hike and learned about the local community, plants and birds
In the afternoon, they have a nice tea time with small snacks-
For planning- it takes 1.5 hours from the airport/ plan a ride in advance- it is about $50 for a couple from Cusco
The local area has a few popular tourist places to visit though we did not take advantage of these as we just enjoyed staying there
The Sacred Valley was an adjustment in altitude for us (we are from Nebraska) and it was nice to acclimate there, before staying in Cusco and ultimately hiking the Salkantay trail.

The best way for not getting soroche or altitude sickness is to drive straight from the airport to the Sacred Valley and stay there at least the first 3 days of your stay in Cusco. This is the best way to get your body used to such a high altitude and avoid getting sick. Urubamba has great restaurants and hotels all around, so there’s plenty of choices for lunch and dinner. The weather is much warmer and nicer than Cusco and it’s a great hub for visiting the ruins around the place.

Urubamba is the perfect base from which to explore the Sacred Valley. It's also a quieter, less overtouristed alternative to Cuzco. Visitors can walk clear across town without being stopped by touts every few steps, but getting to Ollantaytambo, Moray and Maras is a breeze (and cheap). The town also has plenty of great dining options, all for much less than you'd pay in Cuzco, and it's perfect for people watching. It may seem a bit rough around the edges at first but within a day you'll find it comfortable and even homey.

We had been there for work and looked for a peaceful place to spend the night, which we found. I know Urubamba, since I live in the Sacred Valley. Nice little town, where you find everything, you need for a short or long stay.
I love to find this jewels in the middle of the Andes and this is the Sacred Lodge in Urubamba, I loved the grounds, gardens flowers, all the rooms like a small cottages, very private, quite, Loved the Spa, Breakfast and dinners so personalized, Everything was eccellent and the atencion of Mr. Jose the property manager was amazing, he was always attent that our requests were met and that our stay was plasent. Thank you I will come back very soon!!!!
I travel to the Sacred Valley frequently. Well, that’s not entirely true. I travel to the Sacred Valley of Cusco all the time! I’ve stayed in just about every major hotel - including the top ranked places. Posada Tres Marias is not a luxury destination - but it easily ranks up with the very best! Clean. Dependable. Safe. Convenient. Super friendly staff. Best of all - an AMAZING price point. Do yourself a favor, stay here!
For me the best thing in Peru is to get a decent shower and this was a good hot one with good water pressure.
Good location as only a couple of blocks from the centre and also close to catch collectivos to other places.
Comfy bed and good WiFi.
The staff were really helpful and showed us how to get to Moray and Maras on collectivos instead of paying for an expensive taxi.
Enjoyed staying here and would do it again.
Quaint cabins on a beautiful compound. It's located near enough the center of town to be convenient bur far enough to be quiet. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The room included a mini fridge and a kitchen sink, which is a nice touch. I would absolutely recommend this hotel (and Urubamba, which is highly underrated as a base to explore the Sacred Valley as well as an alternative to Cuzco)
The room was better than I expected and the hotel territory was beautiful and peaceful. There are many animals and birds and fish living at the hotel so I spent one day just observing them from different spots. It was so nice that we decided to prolong our stay and skip our previous plan.
the hotel has everything you would need. the rooms as spacious, the pool area is amazing, the indoor pool is lovely and the location is a bit further from the center (which we liked). the staff is super friendly and helpful in every situation. could not be better!
Room was very comfortable and clean, spacious with a kitchen. Balcony was great. Came down with a flu after visiting Machu Picchu in the rain and the staff was more than helpful. Location a little far out of Urubamba, but can take a taxi, or bus for just 2 soles.
Classy hotel with helpful staff. Nice options for relaxation. Nice spa, particularly the steambath. The hotel's restaurant has a range of dishes at reasonable prices. We were given a breakfast box on the day we left early for a trek.
Our host was so accommodating and really friendly. A lovely hot shower with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is lovely and staying in the scared valley is a must if you are traveling around Peru. We really enjoyed our stay here.
The exteriors are beautiful and it only has 17 rooms, so it is very quiet. Walking around you feel you are in a small village. The hotel manager went out of his way to attend to my special requests. Excellent value!
the most incredible thing is the hotel itself, a testament of human creativity. the staff is amazing, super helpful and friendly. the location is stunning, a once in a lifetime experience. very good breakfast.
The super helpful and friendly people behind this lovely hotel :) We were suppose to only stay 2 nights but we ended up staying for 5days and 4nights! We made this hotel our home base to explore Sacred Valley.
The interior decoration and amenities were top notch. The breakfast buffet was the best we experienced during our trip to Peru and the heated pool and hot tubs were great for a relaxing evening after tours.
The hotel is located in a old monastery. It is super charming. 10 minutes walking from the main square in a very quiet area. Our room was big and clean. Food and drinks were good
Great location in the heart of town. Roof top terrace was nice to hang out. Good hot water shower. Bedding was the best smelling in Peru! Friendly and helpful hosts.
It’s a new hotel and just on the edge of being awesome, will be great when they finish off the edges. Everything was clean and new. Breakfast was great.
I loved the location of the hotel, far from the noise of the city and perfect to enjoy nature. Breakfast was amazing and staff was helpful and friendly.
