How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I would add a blackout roller blind to the window. I was in room 11.
Perfectly situated for my north terminal departure. I was able to park outside overnight and drop my car at the terminal the next morning. Easy check in and check out. Greeted by the owner and some snacks in my room. Toiletries also. Nice touches

Nothing, the only thing I could moan about was that I was on the first floor and had to carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs, but I would do it again as the room was comfortable.
Very close to the airport. I did not walk as I arrived after dark so I got a taxi. I however walked the next day to the train station from the property . Real value for money and very friendly and helpful host.

Nice clean place located at 15 min walk from Gatwick Airport via a spooky park (I walked twice after mid night and survived :). Host is exceptional and communication is second to none. I made booking on wrong dates but she was kind enough to guide to nearest hotel. Room was clean and tidy. Highly recommended and good value for money!

The shower leaked in the middle of the night, only 30 seconds but enough to wake me
Super friendly host, preferable to walk as Uber is expensive when compared to the time taken to get there on foot. The spare toothbrush saved me as I'd forgotten mine

The room was clean and comfortable. The host was very accommodating and lovely to talk to... Very helpful. I'd recommend this to anyone as it was a short distance away from Gatwick. It was a very pleasant stay.

Probably the toilet was too small and may not be suitable for people bigger than me. However, it was efficient and well organised.
The place was comfortable and well maintained. The staff/manager very welcoming and kind.

Nothing not to like
The location of the property is beautiful, right next door to a park. The room was clean. Toiletries were included as were snacks. The host is amazing my flight is at 7am and she walked with me, at 5 am, to the airport as I didn't know where to go. Above and beyond. I will definitely book here again whenever I fly from Gatwick.

Noisy people moving and clomping around in the room above but that has nothing to do with the host or the property just inconsiderate people.
Proximity to airport. Quiet street Fabulous helpful host. Snacks and toiletries Comfy bed hot shower nice warm room. Host walked with me to the airport. Safe and secure.

Gatwick airport leaves a lot to be desired in terms of sineage. Plethora of confusing signs. My host messaged me and called me but I was tired from traveling and she kindly came out and escorted me to her place down dark country lanes. I had tried to get an Uber or a taxi but the fares were absurdly expensive for the short distance to be traveled. It was great when I got there: very quiet ,clean and well appointed but I would suggest getting there during daylight hours if possible
Dry clean and compact. Good extras provided like top line coffee and tea. It was quite a bit cheaper than staying in the terminal and the host was very nice.

N25 is conveniently located close to Gatwick Airport. You can walk to the airport or take a taxi for 20 pounds. The rooms are extremely clean, newly furnished, comfortable and well-designed with everything you might need for a stay of overnight or a few days. It is quiet so is easy to sleep and there is a forested park just outside for a walk. I arrived at 2 in the morning and it was easy to enter and the lovely host met me despite the time (thank you!).

I couldn't fault it. The communications from the owner were simply superb, explaining how to get there walking or by taxi, and how to enter. I particularly liked the codes that were sent to me to gain entry to the building and my room. Very accurate images and description.

I thought this place would be good, but it was wonderful. The room layout was brilliant. It managed to fit in an on-suite washroom, a microwave, fridge, washing machine (!!!) etc and not feel crowded.
